The Windmill hill Garden and Allotment Association is a voluntary, non-profit making organisation. It was established on the l2th April 1976 by allotment holders in West Bletchley for their mutual benefit. The Association welcomes all leisure gardeners.

Our main activity is to bulk-buy a wide range of gardening items like plant-seeds, potting composts and fertilisers etc., to sell back to our Members at reduced rates. We have no paid personnel. All Committee Members and Helpers are volunteers. The only occasions we would pay for work would be for specialised trades such as electricians, roof workers etc. It takes in excess of 1000 person hours per annum to run the Association. We are always seeking Helpers and Committee Members. If you are interested, please have a word with Mike Collins or leave your telephone number with someone serving in the Hut. Some of the activities with which we need help are: serving behind the counter; moving stock from the external store into the Hut; stacking shelves; weighing and bagging various bulk items, such as seed potatoes, potting composts and dressings; assisting with the unloading of deliveries to the Hut and store; helping some of our physically Less- able Members by taking their purchases to their cars; maintenance of the Hut and store and their surrounds, including repairs and improvement works; cleaning floors and shelving; disposal of packaging etc., and stocktaking.

Our Helpers and Committee are a great crowd to work with and, Like most Associations, they come from all walks of life. There is one thing they all have in common however, the love of our wonderful hobby, gardening. Why don't you join them, even if you have only recently taken-up gardening? After all, the Hut is a great place to seek advice, even bad advice!
