“Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 1 in 8 men will get it, and if you’re Black, your risk is double. We’re standing together to support our dads, brothers, partners and friends – by raising awareness, funding lifesaving research, campaigning for change and providing vital support and information”.

2026 – Willen Hospice

The WHGAA nominated charity for 2026 was Willen Hospice. This local charity provides palliative and end-of-life care for people in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. Their services also extend into patients’ homes, enabling many people to receive specialist care and support in familiar surroundings.

In addition to palliative care, Willen Hospice offers a range of specialist services, including Lymphoedema Care, Therapeutic and Wellbeing Services, and Family and Bereavement Support.

At the end of the AGM, we were pleased to present the Willen Hospice Ambassador, Lainey Harries, with a further cheque for £705.11. Lainey was also kind enough to give us a brief talk about the wonderful work carried out by the hospice and the difference it makes to patients and their families.

This brings the total amount donated by WHGAA members during the year to an impressive £1,565.11.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic fundraising effort. Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated and will help Willen Hospice continue its invaluable work within our community.
